Mechanical Technician Opportunity in Abu Dhabi

Are you a skilled Mechanical Technician with AOV refurbish experience? We are seeking skilled technicians to join our outage team on a contract basis at BNPP.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct valve maintenance and overhauls, including inspections, diaphragm replacements, packing adjustments/replacement, and seat inspections.
• Oversee pump overhauls, including bearing assessments, impeller & casing evaluations, mechanical seal reviews, coupling checks, and alignment procedures.
• Manage intake rake travelling screens, performing cleaning, replacement, lubrication, and coating tasks.
• Perform diesel diagnostic tests, evaluating cylinder temperature, combustion pressure, and other key parameters.
• Engage in engineering-directed diesel maintenance activities.
• Replace or clean filters, gaskets, and provide online leak sealing services as needed.
• Handle HVAC repairs when required.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Participate in major overhauls and repairs.
• Support minor modifications and other operational improvements.
• Perform surveillance tests and periodic tests as required to support plant maintenance.

Skills Required

• Strong experience with MOV (Motor Operated Valves), AOV (Air Operated Valves), chillers, valves, pumps, diesels, rake & travelling screens, filters, gaskets, and HVAC systems.
• Expertise in valve maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity, including conducting thorough inspections, part replacements, and precise adjustments.
• In-depth pump inspection experience, including understanding the internal workings of pumps (bearings, seals, couplings) to maintain system efficiency and reliability.
• Proficiency in diesel diagnostics, performing accurate assessments to identify potential issues before they escalate into major problems, safeguarding plant operations.
