Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Mechanical Technician to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems and equipment. You will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of machinery and systems by providing hands-on support and solving technical issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical system maintenance, troubleshooting, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair of Mechanical Systems:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, machinery, engines, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures on a wide range of equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities on mechanical systems to avoid failures and extend the lifespan of machinery.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment, ensuring that systems are repaired or replaced promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
• Identify potential mechanical issues before they become major problems, helping to prevent system breakdowns and costly repairs.
• Support the development and implementation of corrective actions for identified mechanical faults.

System Inspections and Performance Monitoring:

• Perform regular inspections of mechanical systems, monitoring performance to identify inefficiencies or potential issues.
• Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements for optimizing machine productivity and reducing operational costs.
• Document maintenance and repair activities, noting any issues, parts used, and actions taken during inspections.

Collaboration and Team Support:

• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technical staff to support maintenance schedules and ensure efficient equipment operation.
• Provide technical support to junior technicians, offering guidance and mentoring when needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure that all maintenance and repair work complies with company safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
• Adhere to safety protocols, using the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that all work areas remain safe for team members.
• Report any safety hazards or non-compliance issues to management promptly and take corrective actions as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks, repairs, inspections, and any components or parts replaced.
• Prepare reports on mechanical system performance, providing insights into equipment conditions and any corrective actions taken.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement and Training:

• Continuously improve knowledge and skills in mechanical systems and maintenance techniques by attending training sessions and workshops.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, new tools, technologies, and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance procedures, helping to improve overall efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Technical certifications related to mechanical systems, maintenance, or equipment are a plus.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience as a mechanical technician or in a similar role, with hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems and machinery.
• Experience in working with a variety of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, HVAC systems, or similar industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is beneficial.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues effectively.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and mechanical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Relevant certifications in mechanical maintenance or industrial machinery (e.g., HVAC, welding, or equipment-specific certifications).
• First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
