Job Description

• Assists in the preparation of quality documentation, including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to Mechanical works.
• Monitors all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Mechanical works, particularly issues of design, procurement, construction, and final handover.
• Monitors the implementation of Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans related to Mechanical works, ensuring all necessary records are generated in a timely manner.
• Manages the inspection and testing of Mechanical works, including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.
• Monitors the closeout of punch lists established for incomplete Mechanical works.
• Monitors all measurement & testing instruments employed for Mechanical works to ensure they are functional and calibrated.
• Witnesses, reviews, and approves welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications.
• Liaises and coordinates with 3rd Party Testing/Inspection Company as required.
• Conducts statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Mechanical works.
• Prepares, files, and maintains test/inspection records and any other quality records related to Mechanical works.
• Assists construction personnel in identifying and resolving problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to Mechanical works.
• Advises the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and raises Non-conformance Reports when necessary, monitoring the closeout and effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Assists the QC Manager in undertaking periodic audits, including those of sub-contractors and suppliers, particularly technical compliance audits.
• Witnesses all NDT and Mechanical testing (including hydro testing, pneumatic testing, etc.) specified.
• Attends and witnesses all Client verification of work on site and coordinates the closeout of any outstanding issues related to Civil works.
• Assists in the preparation of final documents for certification as required.
• Assists in systems commissioning as required.
• Hands-on in managing site interface with implementation contractor QC personnel and client QC personnel, knowledgeable in codes and standards, ADNOC specifications, and SHELL DEP.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience (ADNOC experience will be an advantage)
• Full EPC experience in O&G projects
• Very good command of the English language
• Knowledge in rotating equipment
• Well-versed in the inspection and certification of Pipeline, Piping, Structures, Process equipment, packaged units, NDT methods, Welding activities, Test Package Management, and Mechanical Completion in oil and gas EPCM projects.
