Mechanical Engineer (Static)

CH2M HILL Mechanical Engineer (Static) - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose:
To lead the mechanical engineering works for the Petronas project and anticipated Projects in CH2MHILL.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

1. To be the Project Lead Static / Packages engineer independently leading medium to large scale project (FEED, Detailed Design etc.)
2. Scope Review, FEED endorsement; Equipment selection report
3. Preparation of data sheets, specification and material requisition for mechanical static equipment such as columns, reactors, vessels, drums, heat exchangers, separators, boilers, tanks etc.
4. Fully Conversant with International codes like ASME, API, BS etc.
5. Perform / Check Design Calculations as per code
6. Perform / Check Material Take Off (MTO)
7. Technical evaluation of Vendor offers, Attend Vendor meetings
8. Vendor drawing review, Reply to Vendor queries, follow up with Vendors etc.

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential
2. 10-years of Static Equipment Design experience
3. Previous design experience in engineering consultancy EPC company
4. Worked on pressure vessel design software's such as Pv-Elite, Compress, etc.
5. Work independently producing good quality deliverables within man-hour budgets
6. Good communication skills are required
7. Good client interaction and coordination
