As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Lead the mechanical maintenance team by providing guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to the team, whilst achieving a safe working environment & optimal equipment technical availability.
2. Practice advanced methods on Preventive and Predictive maintenance techniques and analysis for equipment availability, reliability, cost efficiency and enhance operational safety.
3. Lead and Control Mechanical maintenance services in Gypsum Powder plant, Plaster board plant, Pastose product mixing and grinding plant, Profiles plant, Gas and Diesel Power Plants.
4. Mechanical Spare parts management – Forecast, inventory and reorder spare parts / consumables to maintain plant reliability relates to Mechanical Maintenance. Assist in physical inventories.
5. Standardising maintenance tasks, applying CI techniques and investigating new technologies in maintenance, continually improve the performance of the maintenance team in line with the strategic plan to attain world class maintenance standards.
6. Execute CAPEX projects and/or assist project sub-teams involved in process and product optimization, innovation, cost reduction, or other related business activities.
7. Aligning and reporting on all requirements, processes and data points including inputting into the periodic update of all maintenance related activities.
8. Active Participation in team objectives setting, plan development and performance review of Mechanical Maintenance team.

What We’d Love For You To Have

If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:

1. BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible Mechanical maintenance in Gypsum plasterboard manufacturing industry.
3. Good knowledge and active user of SAP-PM module (including spare parts, planning, and purchasing modules), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD.
4. Knowledge of/ Interested in Lean Management, 5S and Continuous Improvement, digitalization.
5. Knowledge of autonomous maintenance and ready to take part in activities and PM projects.
6. Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including general electrical, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
7. Excellent command of English Communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Self-motivated with result driven approach.
9. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
10. Awareness on different ISO Standards.
11. Awareness on Energy management system.
