Assist in the supervision and active participation in discipline-specific activities within the Mechanical team, aligning with project standards and goals under the guidance of the Senior Designer.
Support the study and understanding of the scope of work and specifications for assigned projects, providing insights to the team under the mentorship of the Senior Designer.
Contribute to the design of major systems, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and industry standards under the guidance of the Senior Designer.
Utilize design software such as CAD, Rhino, NX, Solidworks for 3D modeling, preparing detailed construction and fabrication drawings with oversight from the Senior Designer.
Collaborate with the Senior Designer to act as a checker for drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and sketches, ensuring compliance, consistency, and high-quality work.
Work closely with discipline engineers, learning from the Senior Designer, to resolve problems and adhere to project schedules.
Assist in interdisciplinary coordination to ensure seamless integration of project engineering activities under the guidance of the Senior Designer.
Support the Senior Designer in resolving production queries during the construction phase to ensure work conforms to drawings and project specifications.
Participate in site surveys and inspections as requested by the Senior Designer, providing essential information for project execution.
Learn and contribute to recommendations and follow-ups on quality assurance and safety factors/requirements applicable to engineering design, guided by the Senior Designer.
Collaborate with the Senior Designer in participating in weight and cost budget control, ensuring cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
Exercise professional judgment consistently to ensure the safety of vessels and the well-being of users.
Ensure strict compliance with company health and safety policies, standards, and guidelines, setting an example for team members by upholding organizational values.
Maintain a tidy and organized workplace, adhering to targeted 6S standards to enhance efficiency and safety.
Efficiently manage consumables, exercising control to prevent issues and minimize wastage.
Take the lead on special projects, assuming additional responsibilities as needed to contribute to the growth and development of the team and department.
Exhibit organizational and project management skills to adeptly manage high-pressure situations and assist in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously under the guidance of the Lead personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on system design.
Specific Skills: Engineering software proficiency, continuous learning, and adaptability within a dynamic engineering environment.
Certifications: PMP, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
