Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager and complying with the following work requirements:

1. Prepare Mechanical/Electromechanical static & rotary equipment datasheets.
2. Review vendor datasheets/GAD for all static/rotary equipment/valves/instruments to ensure compliance with engineering deliverables of the project.
3. Review the 3D/2D GAD for skid & containerized packages with detailing and ensure essential compliance as required.
4. Ensure the material specifications are met in a cost-effective manner.
5. Design and detail engineering of pressure vessels, columns, and storage tanks.
6. Review drawings, mechanical design calculations, material specifications, and purchase requisitions.
7. Coordinate with inter-disciplines, other departments, and external agencies like clients, consultants, etc.
8. Prepare/review techno-commercial estimations for static equipment.
9. Assign and receive work from draftsmen.
10. Perform mechanical design calculations and review fabrication drawings and job packages for pressure vessels, columns, and storage tanks in accordance with design codes, client datasheets, and specifications.
11. Prepare/review material take-off, material specifications, and purchase requisitions.
12. Conduct technical reviews of vendor quotations in compliance with project requirements.
13. Prepare/review techno-commercial bid estimations including MTO, RFQ, and evaluation of vendor quotations.
14. Coordinate with inter-discipline departments, clients/consultants, and inspection agencies.
15. Review engineering deliverables generated by co-workers when required and ensure document quality.
16. Participate in technical meetings with vendors and clients as necessary (during HAZOP, 3D model review, clarification meetings) to facilitate necessary approvals from clients.
17. Adhere to the ISO procedures as adopted by the company.
