To carry out the service and repair of McLaren vehicles to the highest standards as determined by Performance & Tuning LLC and McLaren.
Accountabilities
Technical
Must demonstrate the ability to complete all types of vehicle repair (electrical, mechanical, trim work, AC work etc.) and must demonstrate high level diagnostics skills in at least four of the following disciplines:
Mechanical diagnosis of engine and transmission systems.
Common electrical systems such as ABS, convenience systems etc.
Vehicle alignment and active suspension systems.
Driver assistance systems (ACC, emergency braking, lane control, lane assist).
Demonstrate ability to create high quality technical communications with the manufacturer.
Operational
Maintain safe working standards and abide by working rules and standards.
Attend regular staff meetings, using them as a basis for the communication of any ideas for improvement in processes or cost savings.
Personal Development
Maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge through a development plan agreed with the line manager.
Disseminate such skills and knowledge to junior staff and other service department staff.
Arrange an annual appraisal with your line manager in accordance with the company’s appraisal process.
Key Performance Indicators
Maintain the highest standards of vehicle repair.
Zero repeat repairs, which can be attributed to the technician.
Achievement of productivity, utilisation and efficiency KPI as determined by the service manager.
Achievement of the McLaren standards for customer care.
