MECHANIC

Accountable for carrying out repairs and maintenance work of all the mechanical equipment within stipulated time by following established/proven procedures/techniques/methods to ensure optimum utilization and reliability.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs the following tasks:
1. Keeps an eye on fast moving spare parts stock levels and alerts immediate superior to replenish stock in time.
2. Makes efforts to maximize life of equipment/machines and its components/parts.
3. Verifies dimensions and clearance of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
4. Carry out material handling activities safely as required to carry out his duties.
5. Maintains records of activities carried out and spare parts received/used.
6. Submits daily work report to immediate superior the very next day positively.
2. To carry out repairs and maintenance work of the following equipment/machine (barring motors) to perfection:
1. Compressors – Alignment, overhauling, component/parts replacement, repairing and cleaning.
2. Pumps – Alignment, overhauling, component/parts replacement, repairing and cleaning.
3. CO2 Palletizer and recovery system.
4. Dissolved acetylene generator.
5. Filters/Strainers.
3. Assist operations on all of customer purging requirements.
4. Supports and promotes the objective of the company.
5. Attends and participates actively in Quality, Safety and environmental programs of the company.
6. Reports all non-conforming materials and services to immediate superior and includes suggestions to rectify.
7. Reports problems encountered for new processes or changes and includes suggestions to resolve.
8. Attends all training required in his job and consistently applies them in his field of work.
9. Performs other duties which might be assigned as a support to the Departments' Objective.
10. Demonstrates high standard of safety awareness and housekeeping.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Working with dial gauges, vernier calipers, screw gauge, machinist level and all types of mechanical tools, tackles and slings.

Repairing machines/equipments using the needed tools.

Tools/equipments Selection – determining the kinds of tools and equipment need to do a job.
