Materials Testing Technician

We are seeking a Materials Testing Technician to conduct laboratory and field tests on various materials to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing physical and chemical tests on materials such as concrete, asphalt, metals, and soil, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

• Perform laboratory and field tests on construction materials, including concrete, soil, asphalt, and metals.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Conduct quality control and assurance tests to verify material compliance with industry standards.
• Record and analyze test data, preparing detailed technical reports for engineers and project managers.
• Ensure all testing procedures follow safety regulations and industry standards.
• Assist in the development of new testing methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Work closely with engineers, construction teams, and clients to ensure material quality and performance.
• Identify and report any material defects or inconsistencies found during testing.
• Maintain proper documentation of test results, calibration records, and lab procedures.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in material testing, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of testing standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, or ISO.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as compression machines, sieves, and moisture testers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in laboratory and field environments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and documentation.
