Role Overview
Support coordination, demand, and fulfillment of all critical (direct) material flow (including from/to external vendors, GE Commercial Spares, and within the repair and overhaul network) according to production schedules for success of the GE On Wing Support business.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and own Gate 2 (repair and kitting cycle) metrics through liaison with technicians and planning teams. Report progress toward Gate 2 targets to keep site Lead Material Planning and Execution Specialist informed of any concerns which require additional support.
2. Create order demand in SAP (On Wing Support Portal) including creation/duplication of internal material demand with both internal and external sources. Use discretion on bulk ordering to decrease number of POs issued and number of packages to receive.
3. Perform routine analysis of frequently consumed part numbers and respond with effective actions for kitting and bundling opportunities at the OWS site. Effectively implement MRP setup (in SAP) and inventory management tasks for effective Gate 2 management.
4. Perform standard work including:
1. Align vendor delivery dates to engine G2 accumulation date, escalate shortfalls, pursue solutions.
2. Quarterly reviews and management of supplier scorecard.
3. First-time setup of vendors and suppliers in SAP required for ordering and receiving of materials flowing in or out of facility, escalate shortfalls, logistics management and keep track of all inbound/outbound shipments.
4. Ensure shipments to and from the facility are completed within expected shipment times, escalate shortfalls, pursue solutions. Allocate applicable shipping/freight charges to appropriate SAP SVN. Allocate invoices associated with freight shipments.
5. Ensure adequate & compliant supply of Chemicals & Consumables required by the facility, escalate shortfalls, pursue solutions.
6. Ensure compliant disposition of Scrap hardware and/or low demand/obsolete inventory.
7. Understand import/export/ITC requirements. Create Commercial invoices for parts/tools/materials coming into or going out of the facility.
8. Manage reports submission as required by the business.
5. Comply with Safety requirements, complete training per schedule, participate in investigations and read-across as requested, promptly identify safety issues, work with team to pursue solutions, and escalate issues.
6. Participate in assessments, read across and PFMEAs to identify and understand sources of defects. Promptly identify and escalate risks to leadership and work with team on solutions.
7. Flight Deck implementation/ownership. Participate in Kaizen events and apply learnings to daily activity. Apply and improve upon standard work in area of responsibility. Identify sources of waste and Customer dissatisfaction, escalate to leadership team and work among the team to find solutions.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Warehouse, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Operations)
2. Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management/ MBA in operations management is desirable.
3. Dangerous goods qualified would be desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
2. Knowledge of SAP ERP system, or any other equivalent ERP specifically in the "Materials Management Module". Ability to demonstrate required knowledge of the ERP to ensure compliance with company materials processes and maintain inventory accuracy.
3. Approaches work with a "can-do" attitude and a sense of commitment to both the team and customer objectives.
4. Possess a desire to learn and grow with technology advancements and new engine models.
5. Features strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including problem-solving ability.
6. Holds previous Materials and Inventory experience.
7. Knowledge of import, export, Customs, and dangerous goods requirements.
8. Proven experience leading initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
