Material & Corrosion Specialist

KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill the position of Material & Corrosion Specialist for an Offshore PMC project based in Abu Dhabi City in the EPC Contractor's office.

1. Minimum of 17+ years experience in Oil and Gas Fields in Material and Corrosion for offshore/onshore. Familiarity with Corrosion Software (e.g., ECE, Predict, etc.).
2. Good interpersonal relationship, planning, and organizing skills.
3. Good knowledge of materials for sour service requirements and in-depth knowledge of NACE standards MR0175/ISO 15156, MR0103, TM 0177, TM 0284, etc.
4. Sound understanding of material/corrosion failure investigation studies for in-service and projects, establishing root cause analysis, and suggesting mitigation actions to avoid reoccurrence.
5. Familiarity with the use of non-metallics in oil and gas applications.
6. Good knowledge of corrosion mitigations such as chemical injection, inhibitors/biocides, cathodic protection (CP), internal coatings, cladding, etc.
7. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to clarify technical concepts to all levels of stakeholders.
8. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
