Job description

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing, executing, and monitoring marketing programs and campaigns to meet strategic organizational and marketing objectives. Responsibilities include oversight of marketing strategies, production support of marketing campaigns and events, marketing research, reporting, and development of content to drive sales and targeted results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Marketing: Support development and lead implementation of social media marketing strategies to enable target market reach and sales objectives.
    • Collaborate with Business Development leadership to develop and execute social media strategies that drive engagement, foster brand loyalty, and prompt action.
    • Develop and implement social media marketing concepts according to strategic objectives outlined for campaigns and overall marketing goals.
  2. Campaign Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement detailed social media marketing strategies that maximize efficiency and performance of targeted goals within budget parameters.
    • Implement detailed social media strategies to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of targeted goals, within budget constraints.
  3. Brand Positioning & Demand Generation:
    • Drive demand for Alef Education by positioning the organization as a respected, key strategic partner across various social media platforms. Showcase Alef Education's value proposition to potential clients, highlighting the company's impact in achieving education objectives.
    • Conduct market research and digital analysis to inform social media strategies, aligning them with overall marketing strategies. Stay updated on market conditions, trends, and competitor activities to adjust and refine social media tactics.
  4. Relationship Management & Trend Engagement:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with social media partners and platforms, identifying trends and opportunities that maximize marketing results. Engage with emerging platforms and industry trends to keep the brand relevant and maximize reach.
    • Work closely with the marketing and design teams to produce and deliver creative content that resonates with the audience, aligns with brand values, and supports divisional strategies. Ensure that all content is optimized for social media platforms and enhances marketing effectiveness.
  5. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Track, measure, and analyze the performance of social media marketing activities, using data-driven insights to refine and improve lead generation. Make real-time adjustments to campaigns to optimize outcomes and enable the sales team to capitalize on qualified leads effectively.
  6. Event Management: Responsible for the implementation of marketing events to enhance the positive reputation and education expertise of Alef Education.
    • Serve as project manager for marketing events and tradeshows.
    • Support in researching and identifying potential marketing events that will enable Alef Education to promote its brand, products, and services in target markets.
    • Maintain effective, timely communication with all key stakeholders, with focus on pre- and post-show follow-up to proactively address all needs throughout events.
    • Support the negotiation and implementation of event contracts, working closely with the procurement and finance teams to enable rapid contract execution.
    • Coordinate travel, meeting, and event logistics for all participants and key stakeholders such as media companies.
    • Procure, order, track, and manage event inventory and collateral, vendors as required.
    • Track and report on event ROI based on pipeline, revenue, and other KPIs as directed by Head of Marketing and Head of BD.
    • Oversee event business partners to ensure smooth facilitation of activities and execution of contract scopes and terms.
  7. Implementation of Marketing Campaigns: Support the implementation of assigned marketing campaigns, events, and projects to enable target market objectives.
    • Develop and implement assigned marketing concepts according to strategic objectives outlined for campaigns and overall division goals.
    • Develop and gain approval for detailed marketing timelines and concepts with the support of the Senior Communications Manager, to maximize efficiency and performance of targeted goals within budget parameters.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to produce and deliver creative content that maximizes marketing results, aligned with brand and division strategies.
    • Monitor performance of marketing activities, recommending adjustment and streamlining of processes to enable effective achievement of goals.
    • Organize events, exhibitions, and photo shoots that enhance brand image.
  8. Market Research: Conduct analysis and develop reports to enable decision-making on marketing strategies based on trends and target market needs.
    • Compile data and analysis about customer experience and product perception across multiple channels to inform marketing content.
    • Research and forecast future sales and performance trends as assigned.
    • Research competitors and capitalize on market activities to improve digital marketability of Alef Education products and services.
    • Track and periodically report industry and market trends in digital and product marketing to enable aligned and effective practices that deliver results across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc/BA in Business administration, Marketing or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 2-4 years leading social media marketing initiatives & campaigns starting from ideation to reporting as well as facilitating marketing initiatives & campaigns.
  • Portfolio of original samples of personal marketing work/design.
  • Relevant industry experience in areas of education and/or technology a plus.
  • Proven track record of marketing performance across various marketing platforms a plus.
  • Experience managing media vendors, including contract negotiation.
  • Understanding of marketing concepts and the key performance indicators used to track specific channels including web, social media, paid search, SEO, and email.
  • Previous marketing research experience a strong advantage.
  • Social Media Copywriting: Proficient in crafting compelling, clear, and engaging copy tailored to diverse social media platforms, enhancing engagement and brand presence.
  • Team Player and problem solver able to quickly establish credibility, influence, and trust with other team members in order to better drive results.
  • Project Management: familiar with various project management practices and tools; ability to implement & customize to needs of team and/or project.
