Job Description

ROLE: Marketing Manager

ROLE DEFINITION: The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Regional Marketing Team and the Hotel General Manager to conceptualize, create, and complete designs/artwork, delivering the highest quality work, whilst meeting tight deadlines.

Main Duties

  1. Marketing budget – Forecasting, Planning, & Monitoring
  2. Contact with local journalists, local community, institutions, embassies
  3. Press releases to local press about news and current events in the hotel
  4. Treatment of press inquiries about the hotel
  5. Organization of PR Events
  6. Take care of journalists staying in the hotel
  7. Pro-active PR measures
  8. General PR administration tasks
  9. Marketing activities to support Rooms, F & B & Banquet sales
  10. Perform as per company standards.
  11. Proper grooming at all times
  12. Attend training classes as per schedule
  13. Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments
  14. Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities
  15. Install and update a press database for the local market
  16. Edit press releases about news and current events in the hotel and send out to local press market
  17. Picture archive of the property, have perfect pictures in store and ready at hand
  18. Have an updated press kit and fact sheet of the hotel at hand
  19. Have all flyers, information material, and brochures in the store
  20. Have access to the press kit of Accor and all other information material about the group
  21. Collection of press clippings and build up a press archive
  22. Treatment of press inquiries of the hotel, hand over press inquiries about Accor to the Corporate Public Relations Department.
  23. Get in contact with the local journalists, invite them, visit them, and keep a constant relation
  24. Build up relations to the local community, embassies, institutions, administrations etc.
  25. Care about journalists or VIPs during their stay in the hotel
  26. Keep the press relations with small gifts, invitations, or visits
  27. Preparation, organization, and follow-up of PR Events
  28. Organize press cocktails or press lunches in the hotel
  29. Keep the hotel staff informed about news, pass relevant information about Accor
  30. Constant information flow between the General Manager and other department heads
  31. Delivery of news for any internal company magazine (via Corporate Public Relations)
  32. Be connected with other Accor hotels for cross-marketing
  33. Have knowledge about the Accor group and know what Accor is all about
  34. Take part in the yearly Public Relations workshop organized by Corporate Public Relations
  35. Give support to Corporate Public Relations in all required subjects

Qualifications

Master's degree in Marketing or Diploma in vocational hospitality

3 – 5 years experience in 4-5 star Hotel
