An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marketing Manager to join the team in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Your key responsibilities will include:
Develop, action, manage and measure the annual marketing strategy, aligning closely with the annual sales and revenue strategies to ensure business targets and objectives are met.
Develop strategies that will assist the sales and revenue teams in achieving their targets month on month.
Development and management of Burj Al Arab’s visual standards by working closely with operations, group marketing and the appointed agency.
Ensure the standards are uploaded and managed on Brand Jumeirah.
Ensure that the new standards are adhered to for all communication pieces used for Burj Al Arab as well as across the group.
Development and implementation of brands, visual standards guidelines and marketing plans for new product/service launches working closely with group marketing, operations, sales, marketing teams and appointed agency.
Development and management of an annual advertising plan, working closely with sales, group marketing and OMD.
Development of suitable creative as per the plan, working closely with group marketing and the appointed advertising agency.
Oversee advertising implementation and recording by the assistant marketing communications manager.
Review and respond to ad hoc advertising requests.
Oversee campaign plan development, execution and management by the assistant marketing communications manager to ensure feasibility, practicality and alignment with objectives.
Oversee operational collateral development by the assistant marketing communications manager to ensure feasibility, practicality and alignment with the new visual standards.
Development and management of an annual events plan, working closely with sales, group partnerships and group public relations.
Oversee event participation in instances where the assistant marketing communications manager is tasked with event management.
Development of an online plan geared to ensure that Burj Al Arab is suitably positioned and covered on the internet, working closely with the Group Online team.
Monitoring ROI of these online campaigns.
Oversee online channel management (Jumeirah.com, Mercury, eNewsletters) by the assistant marketing communications manager.
Development and implementation of an annual plan that utilises all available channels, taking the sales objectives into consideration.
Oversee Sirius participation (eNewsletter and Magazine) by the assistant marketing communications manager and marketing executive.
Development and implementation of a partnership marketing plan aligned with sales objectives.
Oversee ad hoc partnership marketing requests.
Development and implementation of an annual sponsorship plan, working closely with group sponsorships and sales.
Review and respond to ad hoc sponsorship requests.
Manage and develop the marketing team, comprising an assistant marketing communications manager, marketing executive and coordinator:
Conduct and action next steps for quarterly reviews.
Conduct and action next steps for annual appraisals.
Develop annual training, development and career progression plans.
Facilitate innovation within the department:
Brainstorming of new ideas for planned marketing campaigns and activities.
Facilitation of idea generation for ideas that can be implemented across operations.
Administrational Duties:
Conduct weekly marketing status meetings to understand progress of jobs on file.
Operational Duties:
Represent the hotel as Duty Manager approximately once per month as scheduled by the Executive Office.
Maintain positive and constructive working relations with Burj Al Arab operations, Jumeirah group marketing functions and fellow SBU marketing communications managers.
Provide support to group marketing (global and Gulf), operations and sales where needed.
Attend the monthly sales and marketing communications meetings.
Represent sales and marketing in orientation presentations as per the current schedule.
Represent sales and marketing in general manager cocktails as per the current schedule.
About You:
University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Hospitality or Marketing.
At least 5 years’ experience in a 5 Star Hotel, in a marketing role, or combined eCommerce and marketing role.
Ability to develop, action, manage and measure annual marketing strategies, aligning closely with the annual sales and revenue teams, to ensure business targets and objectives are met within a pre-defined marketing budget.
Additional Language: Arabic, Russian, Chinese or European language.
