Qualifications: Candidate with a background in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience, preferably in Battery/Automotive sector
Skills: Good understanding of product development life cycle and various development gateways

Experience

1. Experience in previous production or product engineering roles

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

1. Understanding of complete product development cycle, from design to manufacturing
2. Knowledge of different mechanical and packaging concepts for batteries
3. Strong knowledge on Plastic, Sheet Metal components
4. Understanding of Jigs, fixtures, and Tooling for multiple applications
5. Understanding of CAD software like SolidWorks / Pro-E / CATIA
6. Understanding on mechanical and production drawings
7. Hands-on experience of various measurement equipment like profile projector, VC, MM…
8. Coordination with cross-functional departments and suppliers for development
9. Collaborate with design teams to troubleshoot issues and propose improvement solutions
10. Support in critical vendor development in collaboration with SQA team
11. Assist in the assembly of battery prototyping & manufacturing
12. Knowledge product bill of material (BOM) & Change Management (ECN/ECR)
13. Understanding of DFMEA & DFM
14. Knowledge of safety and test standards of Lithium-Ion traction battery
15. Cost Optimization through VA/VE and Benchmarking
16. Good communication skills
17. Strong documentation and writing skills
18. Mechanical system experience related to HV battery design is preferred
