JOB DIMENSIONS
Paying strong attention to detail is a requirement for marine mechanics.
Responsible and careful in their work to prevent injuries and equipment damage. Analytical and good at solving problems.
Solid manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, and physically fit. Self-directed, organized, and able to train new mechanics as well.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Troubleshooting and overhauling Yamaha Outboard Motor and water vehicles.
Test drive customer’s vehicle to check customer complaints.
Understand customer concerns about the vehicle condition on the repair order carefully.
Coordinate with workshop and Reception.
Analyze performances of parts tested to determine deviation from specification.
Disassemble and examine parts to determine cause of malfunction using hand tools.
Determine correct parts and tools required for the repairs.
Inform Control room about service activity to be carried out and parts required.
Document repairs within a reasonable time and complete details about cause and work activity and parts required.
Perform complicated repair sequences according to established procedures.
Follow and abide by all health and safety regulations.
Ensure maintenance of tools and equipment.
Ensure clean and organized work area.
Perform other reasonable activities from time to time.
