Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and development: Design and develop marine vessels, offshore structures, and maritime systems, considering factors such as stability, structural integrity, and hydrodynamics. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) tools and simulation software to create detailed designs and evaluate performance.
2. Marine systems and equipment: Specify and select marine systems and equipment, such as propulsion systems, navigation systems, and communication systems. Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and classification societies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
3. Structural analysis and design: Conduct structural analysis and design for marine structures, including hulls, decks, and offshore platforms. Perform calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis to ensure structural integrity and safety.
4. Maintenance and repair: Oversee maintenance and repair activities for marine vessels and structures. Develop maintenance plans, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with classification society requirements and regulatory standards.
5. Safety and regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, safety standards, and classification society rules. Conduct safety assessments, develop emergency response plans, and implement safety measures to mitigate risks.
6. Stability and performance optimization: Analyze and optimize the stability and performance of marine vessels and structures. Conduct stability calculations, resistance and propulsion analyses, and trim optimization to enhance efficiency and maneuverability.
7. Project management and collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including naval architects, project managers, and contractors, to coordinate and execute marine engineering projects. Provide technical expertise, contribute to project planning, and ensure timely project completion.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or master's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field. Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, naval architecture, and hydrodynamics. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or ShipConstructor, for design and modeling. Familiarity with marine systems, equipment, and classification society rules. Understanding of maritime regulations and safety standards, including SOLAS and MARPOL. Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve marine engineering challenges.
