Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrical & Automation Engineer / Technician to join our team at NCD SEAS Ship Maintenance LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and automation systems on marine vessels. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of power distribution, control systems, and automated processes, enhancing vessel performance and compliance with maritime regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Electrical System Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including generators, switchboards, power distribution, boilers, navigation systems, tank radar systems, and motor controls.
2. Automation & Control Systems: Maintain and optimize PLCs, SCADA, and other automation technologies used for vessel operations.
3. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical and automation systems comply with maritime industry standards (IMO, SOLAS, etc.).
4. Diagnostic & Preventive Maintenance: Use advanced diagnostic tools to detect issues early, preventing downtime and improving efficiency.
5. Integration & Upgrades: Design, implement, and upgrade electrical and automation systems to enhance vessel functionality.
6. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and onboard training for crew members regarding electrical and automation systems.
7. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation controls, power distribution, and electrical safety.
8. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and automation issues efficiently.
