Manger - Steel Structural Design Engineering

Black & Grey HR is actively recruiting for a leading provider of aluminum and steel construction solutions in the Middle East. They specialize in structural fabrication and construction, with a strong presence in the region. Our client is looking for a Manager for the Steel Structural Design Engineering team, with a primary focus on facade design, structural fabrication, and construction. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional capable of leading a team, managing projects, and ensuring the highest standards of design and construction quality.

Responsibilities

• Façade Design: Lead the design team in conceptualizing, developing, and detailing facade systems for various types of buildings and structures.
• Structural Fabrication: Oversee the fabrication process, including material selection, detailing, and coordination with fabrication vendors to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Construction Management: Coordinate closely with construction teams to ensure seamless integration of structural elements into the building process. Provide technical guidance and support during construction to address any design-related issues.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of structural design engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical support. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards. Coordinate with stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure project objectives are met.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control procedures throughout the design and construction phases to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest developments in structural engineering, facade design, and construction techniques. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team to enhance their knowledge and skills.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with structural design and construction activities. Develop mitigation strategies to address these risks and ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in steel structural design, with a focus on facade design and construction.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from conception to completion.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
