Role Description

Reporting to the CEO, the role of Managing Director for Middle East and Africa is to build successful, long-term relationships with existing and new customers in the region. Establishing growth plans and strategies to expand Linksys cross-functional relationships with an emphasis on procuring new customers. The incumbent must deliver wide-ranging leadership working towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with Linksys and our partners' company vision and values. The success of this role will be further reliant upon the ability to work well with Senior Leadership, Product, Engineering, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Legal to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner. As the head of the MEA region, it is critical that this individual, through excellent communication and leadership, can provide effective guidance, mentorship, and management of their direct reports within the region. Lastly, clear understanding of financial templates and customer P&L is a must.


Job Description Responsibilities

  • Link top customer functional leads with like functional leads within Linksys to create multiple touchpoints and relationships within both organizations.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and secure long-term partnerships by taking overall responsibility for client relationship management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ISP technical upgrade plans as needed.
  • Secure new business opportunities for growth in new accounts.
  • Secure potential customers and the decision-makers within the customer organization.
  • Develop and negotiate terms and conditions for new accounts to effectively manage overall profitability at each assigned account while maximizing our position.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for future revenue growth within the MEA region.
  • Manage product transitions effectively by balancing commercials, product roadmap, and customer needs.
  • Formulate and embed sales plans for current and prospective accounts and monitor prospecting activities.
  • Participate in formulation of short-term and long-range planning regarding market share and product mix. Recommend and monitor sales and profit plans, goals, and quotes.
  • Analyse industry market trends, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts.
  • Provide Purchasing function with product consolidated forecasts/sales trends by country.
  • Confer with Marketing function developing marketing plan for key accounts.
  • Confer with Product Management function in developing the appropriate products and features for the MEA channel.
  • Senior stakeholder management and operator engagement.
  • Development and implementation of tactical strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Support Company's employee initiatives, providing equal opportunity to employees and candidates.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Education and Experience

  • Degree level education (bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or Technology is highly desirable), or equivalent work experience.
  • 7-10 years experience in business development / solution selling / senior account manager working in ICT / Telecommunications industries.
  • Experience of managing teams of up to 5 in one or more countries combined with Profit and Loss and General Management responsibility for one or more countries.
  • Strong commercial acumen, demonstrable ability to build a strong value proposition and ROI around a business solution.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Strong negotiation skills on all levels.
  • Initiative-taking and able to think creatively under pressure.
  • In tune with the developments in technology, a working knowledge of the market sector.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly in a global team of professionals accommodating differing time zones.
  • A working knowledge of P&L and the ability to accurately forecast the business.
  • Ability to analyse and leverage financial data.
