Managing Director Debt Restructuring

Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Managing Director specializing in Debt Restructuring to lead and expand our investment banking division. This role requires a proven track record in originating, managing, and executing debt restructuring deals, with a deep understanding of the GCC market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Origination:
   • Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new debt restructuring mandates across the MENA region.
   • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, financial institutions, family offices, and government entities.
   • Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored debt restructuring solutions aligned with client objectives.
   • Identify market trends and opportunities to expand the firm’s presence in the restructuring space.
2. Leadership & Execution:
   • Lead multidisciplinary teams to manage end-to-end debt restructuring processes, including negotiations, financial modeling, and execution.
   • Provide strategic guidance to clients on restructuring options, leveraging expertise in corporate finance, debt markets, and creditor negotiations.
   • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry best practices while managing risk effectively.
3. Market Expertise:
   • Stay informed on economic, financial, and regulatory developments within the GCC region to anticipate client needs.
   • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen the firm’s market positioning.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Experience:
   • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in investment banking, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role specializing in debt restructuring.
   • Proven track record of originating and executing complex restructuring transactions in the GCC region.
2. Skills:
   • Deep understanding of debt instruments, restructuring frameworks, and insolvency regulations.
   • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
   • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple high-stakes transactions simultaneously.
   • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and influence stakeholders.
