Manager Systems

Synopsis
Manage and develop new business solutions and maintain compliance on systems and tools utilized by Crew Resources and Network Operations Control and Fleet Operations.

Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain customization/configuration, such as Rave and Python code. Provide expert recommendations in complex parameter settings on Jeppesen system for handling various scenarios thereby to achieve the desired results.
• Work closely with the Crew Planners, Crew Services, and Ops teams to refine system set-up to adapt Rostering, Pairing, Crewing, and ops system to business changes.
• Ensure system documentation is available for all parties involved and up to date including end-user manuals, administration manuals, and system/architecture documents. Ensure any change in the system design or functionalities are properly documented.
• Provide periodic updates to the end users and stakeholders on system performance. Properly assess the severity of the problems reported and ensure engagement with the vendors as required for solutions.
• Manage the processes for testing and upgrading the supported systems in a coordinated and controlled manner. Coordinate with EY IT to ensure upgrades occur in a timely and effective manner and systems environment and their components are configured and working correctly.
• Proactively manage the level of expectation of internal stakeholders in relation to the benefits of the supported systems. Ensure that risks are evaluated and communicated to appropriate parties.
• Have a strong understanding of business processes and procedures to enhance end-user experience of these operations systems.

Education & Experience

• Post-secondary education (i.e., Diploma, degree and/or courses in related field or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience on systems within Airline operations, including at least 3 years working as Technical Support (either in airlines and/or as a vendor).
