We are currently recruiting for a Manager Projects - IT for our client to be based out of their Dubai office.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the successful delivery of projects (Airport and aviation - Infrastructure solutions) ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, managing resources, identifying, and mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Propose and establish project delivery governance frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to all of client's governance processes throughout project stages.
• Conduct project reporting in accordance with client's governance, utilizing specified tools and meeting established timeframes.
• Oversee the execution of the project in alignment with Project Management Governance standards.
• Manage the creation and approval process of the Project Management Plan (PMP) with input from the Business Owner and Program Lead.
• Manage project delivery across all phases, including handling changes and variations.
• Ensure post go-live activities are managed to comply with the governance standards.
• Coordinate Concept and Detailed Design activities with the Design, Research, and SME departments within, and with external suppliers when required.
• Oversee Procurement activities in coordination with Supply Management.
• Manage the execution of physical works, coordinating with stakeholders for areas impacted by and returning to operations.
• Oversee the seamless handover of the project to operational teams.
• Conduct and document project lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Support benefit realization efforts, as required, to ensure project outcomes are fully achieved.
• Act as the single point of contact for overall delivery and stakeholder management.
• Maintain a strong client focus at the project level, fostering positive working relationships.
• Coordinate SMEs, internal and external resources to ensure optimal project execution.
• Motivate and guide project team members to achieve project objectives.
• Communicate and report effectively across the organization as needed.

Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred.
• IT business analysis skills with domain experience in implementing software applications and/or infrastructure solutions.
• Product and system design experience with ability to transform user requirements into product design.
• Industry - Aviation specific is advantageous
• 5-7 Years of work experience in Project Management in IT
• Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to completion.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organisation.
• Thorough understanding of business case development, financial reporting, and project scheduling aligned with standard methodologies like PMI and PRINCE2.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Clarity, Mastt, Aconex, or P6.
• Experience managing and mentoring a team of Project Managers is highly desirable
