Manager - Product Designer

About the Job:
We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our Flights team, focusing on the Digital Consumer Travel experience. In this role, you will take ownership of the design strategy and execution for the Flights vertical, where customers discover, book, and manage a diverse range of flight offerings. You will be a key partner in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers, leading efforts to transform complex challenges and opportunities into intuitive, high-impact solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of customer behavior, business goals, competitive market trends, operations, and systems to create end-to-end value-driven experiences.

Responsibilities:

1. Own and define the design strategy, influencing product direction at both tactical and strategic levels.
2. Lead the design process from discovery to delivery, producing high-quality experiences that deliver measurable customer and business value.
3. Use qualitative and quantitative research methods, customer feedback, and analytics to inform design decisions and prioritize solutions effectively.
4. Drive iterative testing and experimentation to validate hypotheses, optimize solutions, and maximize impact on KPIs.
5. Communicate design goals clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and leadership - aligning everyone around shared outcomes.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to designers. Foster a collaborative design culture and encourage transparency across the team.

Profile Requirements:

1. 5-10 years of product design experience, leading initiatives in a fast-paced consumer-focused organization. You bring a track record of delivering high-impact mobile and web experiences at scale.
2. Deep understanding of product strategy and business requirements, ensuring solutions align with both company goals and customer outcomes. Your expertise extends beyond surface-level design - you operate as a trusted partner, influencing product strategy and driving decision-making.
3. You are a design leader and systems thinker, adept at identifying unmet customer needs and turning ambiguous problems into opportunities. You leverage research, analytics, and data to drive meaningful design decisions.
4. You have the necessary communication skills to tell a story about your work and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. You possess excellent visual design skills and are proficient in design, prototyping, and whiteboarding tools (such as Figma, Framer, Miro). You have experience working with and contributing to a design system.
6. You regularly seek and give constructive feedback. You share and discuss your work openly at every stage without any big reveals.
7. You love working with other designers and cross-functional team members and thrive on transparency and effective communication.
8. You have an online portfolio or PDF you can share with us. Please include up to 3 projects that best represent your design thinking process and demonstrate the impact of your work. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
9. Demonstrated experience leading design teams and driving product outcomes at scale (Previous experience working in travel is a plus).
10. Deep knowledge of the entire product design cycle - from user research, wireframing, prototyping, and final execution to implementation and continuous iteration.
11. Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods - including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data interpretation to inform design decisions.
12. Ability to balance design vision with business goals, understanding the impact of design decisions on KPIs and broader company objectives.
13. Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate and align with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, marketing, and executives.
14. Required languages: English (Arabic is a plus).
