General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority - GCGRA

As the Manager of Supervision - Reporting at GCGRA, you will be responsible for all departmental reporting relevant to industry data, quantitative and qualitative presentation of available information supporting the team in generating regular and ad hoc reports. You will also be closely working with the team on optimising the data and reporting capabilities. You will play a critical role in monitoring and identifying industry risks, implementing regulatory reporting frameworks, and supporting project work and stakeholder engagement.

The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) is the federal executive agency responsible for regulating and overseeing commercial gaming in the United Arab Emirates. We aim to drive sustainable growth by cultivating world-class commercial gaming operations and implementing efficient regulation, grounded in the principles of integrity, innovation, and responsible practices.

Established by Federal Law by Decree and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the GCGRA is the executive authority that holds exclusive jurisdiction to regulate, license, and supervise all commercial gaming activities and facilities in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive supervision reporting suite aligned with the objectives and priorities of the department and the GCGRA.
  2. Lead on the divisional methodologies to process available data and information to effectively monitor and evaluate gaming operators and licensees and appropriately tailor the reporting for various internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Support the Supervision activities in conducting regular inspections and assessments of gaming operations to assess their adherence to regulatory requirements.
  4. Support establishing robust monitoring systems and processes to track the activities of gaming operators and licensees.
  5. Analyse data and key performance indicators to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks to the integrity of the gaming industry.
  6. Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation to communicate findings, observations, and recommendations to senior management and regulatory authorities.
  7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate effective operator oversight and engagement as appropriate.
  8. Provide input on regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the regulatory framework and contribute to the development and revision of gaming regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient in analytical tools and systems.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, supervision, or related roles within the gaming industry or a regulatory agency.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks, including risk matrixes, and data processing standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with supervision frameworks, methodologies, and risk-based approaches.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Degree/professional certifications related to the delivery of the role are desirable.
