Manager of Safety

An employee of the American Hospital Dubai is expected to promote the mission and philosophy of the hospital by acting in a caring, courteous and confidential manner towards patients, visitors, colleagues and staff by performing their duties and responsibilities according to the expected standards in order to fully meet patient care needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assesses the education needs of staff related to Resuscitation training and assists in providing education programs for staff in coordination with unit managers and hospital management.
2. Assists the Clinical Education department in coordinating education activities and actively participates in and collaborates with education programs delivered by the Clinical Education department.
3. Teaches, supports, coaches, and mentors clinical staff to promote evidence-based resuscitation practice, knowledge, skills, and professional development.
4. Liaises with hospital departments in monitoring standards of care relating to resuscitation standards.
5. Reviews appropriate policies, procedures, and updates according to evidence-based best practices.
6. Participates in and leads departmental/hospital-wide Continuous Quality Improvement.
7. Participates hospital-wide and clinical committees as required.
8. Integrates evidence-based research/practice into clinical and management processes within the clinical area.
