About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Infrastructure Investments, focusing on utilities, energy, and renewables. The role involves evaluating, executing, and managing infrastructure investments with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The successful candidate will be responsible for deal origination, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investment Execution & M&A
    • Lead the assessment, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions in the utilities, energy, and renewables sectors.
    • Conduct in-depth financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning to support investment decisions.
    • Oversee due diligence processes, working closely with internal teams and external advisors (legal, technical, commercial).
    • Negotiate key transaction terms, including SPA, JV agreements, and financing structures.
    • Prepare and present investment memoranda and recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
  2. Investment Strategy & Origination
    • Identify and develop investment opportunities in renewable energy, power generation, transmission, and utilities infrastructure.
    • Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including developers, banks, institutional investors, and advisors.
    • Stay ahead of sector trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes affecting infrastructure investments.
  3. Portfolio Management
    • Monitor the performance of existing investments, driving value creation initiatives and operational improvements.
    • Collaborate with asset management teams to track KPIs, manage risks, and optimize financial returns.
    • Support exit strategies, including asset sales, refinancings, and recapitalizations.

Key Requirements:

  1. 6+ years of experience in infrastructure investments, private equity, investment banking, or corporate M&A.
  2. Strong M&A execution experience, including deal structuring, due diligence, and financial modeling.
  3. In-depth knowledge of the utilities, energy, and renewables sectors, including market trends, regulation, and competitive dynamics.
  4. Excellent valuation skills, with expertise in DCF, LBO, and project finance modeling.
  5. Experience working with PPAs, regulatory frameworks, and energy transition strategies is a plus.
  6. Strong negotiation skills, with experience in contracts, financing arrangements, and shareholder agreements.
