Job Purpose:
The Manager of Financial Reporting & Analysis will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial statements and metrics to senior management and stakeholders. This role will support strategic decision-making processes by providing insights into financial performance, trends, and forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Financial Planning:
- Develop and manage financial plans, including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and forecasting processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to assist in decision-making.
Financial Analysis
- Ensure that financial measures and annual budget are aligned with the annual business plans and are geared to achieve all business objectives.
- Monitor and control expenditure against approved budget and reconcile budget variances to ensure on target performance against budgets.
- Review annual operating forecasts of revenue, expenditures, operational results, and financial performance.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Provide the required linkage between the Board of Directors and the Top Management.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure the timely development and proper implementation of the Manpower and Training plans.
- Conduct the annual performance appraisal for subordinates in the group and recommend salary increments and promotions accordingly.
Strategic Support and Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives, such as mergers, acquisitions, and new business ventures.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors to communicate financial performance and insights.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Cost Management:
- Monitor and control costs to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
Education Qualifications and Certifications:
Holding Chartered Accountancy / Masters degree or MBA qualification. Certifications like CPA, CMA, or equivalent will be preferred.
Work Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the real estate development, construction and relevant industries.
- Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Effective communication with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, ERP, and other financial modeling tools.
- Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
