About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) to join our Finance team. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing, coordinating and driving various portfolios’ strategic business planning, budgeting and periodical forecasts, and performing critical business case analysis.
  • Acting as the primary focal point of assigned portfolio by coordinating with heads of business units to gather data for timely analysis for decision making.
  • Coordinating for DHAM strategic business planning processes to ensure high quality business plan submissions to shareholders.
  • Working closely with departments to develop plans and forecasts, analyzing submissions and recommending optimizations.
  • Monitoring global and local market trends and forecasting their potential impacts on assigned portfolios.
  • Ensuring budgetary controls are in place and being the focal point for budgetary controls and portfolio performance.
  • Continuously monitoring business performance against approved plans and suggesting mitigation options as needed.
  • Collaborating with Accounting, Treasury and Investment functions to ensure proper transaction recording for reporting and monitoring.
  • Performing meaningful analysis that provides insights into financial and operational KPIs.
  • Working as a strategic and financial partner to business heads, providing analysis and recommendations for informed decision making.
  • Identifying and assessing potential analysis and monitoring requirements of assigned portfolios.
  • Collaborating with the Line Manager on various initiatives led by the FP&A function.
  • Providing suggestions for achieving higher efficiencies in cost and revenue drivers based on operational analysis.
  • Staying updated on financial technologies that can improve planning, monitoring, reporting, and control.

About you:

  • Masters’ degree in Finance/Accounting, or MBA Finance preferred.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance, CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of Finance / Accounting experience preferably in a large retail / real estate conglomerate.
  • At least 2 years in the Middle East within FP&A is preferred.
  • Previous experience using Hyperion is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge across all financial aspects – budgeting, forecasting, planning, accounting, reporting etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills for interpreting budgetary and financial information.
  • Excellent writing skills to draft professional reports and correspondence that is clear and concise.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with all levels in the organization.
  • Solid track record of producing highly accurate and timely analysis.
  • Excellent system knowledge like PowerBi, Oracle Fusion, EBS, Hyperion/FCCS etc.
  • Advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills. Arabic would be an added advantage.
