Job description

To support the Senior Manager in developing, implementing, and managing corporate performance frameworks by assisting in KPI development, data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration. The role ensures seamless integration of performance data into decision-making processes, while maintaining data integrity, visualizations, and the cadence of reporting across the organization.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • KPI Development & Support: Collaborate with functional teams to deep-dive into their KPIs, helping them define and refine performance metrics aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Data Engineering & Reporting: Assist in gathering, cleaning, and structuring data from various sources to create accurate and timely KPI reports. Develop scalable processes for continuous performance monitoring.
  • Monthly Reporting Cadence: Manage the process of KPI reporting across departments, ensuring the timely preparation of performance data for monthly management meetings, forums, and external stakeholders (including board members and partners).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal departments and external parties to address ad-hoc requests for KPIs, metrics, and performance insights, maintaining high standards of data quality and presentation.
  • Project Management: Assist in the management of performance reporting projects, including setting timelines, tracking deliverables, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Data Policy & Governance: Work with the IT team to ensure adherence to data access policies, maintaining secure and compliant data access across the organization's reporting platforms.
  • Advanced Data Analytics: Conduct detailed data analysis to forecast trends, perform scenario and sensitivity analyses, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Data Visualization & Presentation: Develop visually compelling and insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations in Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint that simplify complex data for senior stakeholders.
  • Platform & System Management: Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the reporting platforms (including Power BI) are functioning optimally and adapt to the needs of the growing performance management framework.

  • Cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Finance, etc.).
  • IT Department.
  • Senior leadership.

  • Consultants.
  • Board members and strategic partners.

4. Context, Work environment & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

  • This role supports the strategic decision-making process through data analysis and reporting but will escalate significant decisions to the Senior Manager Performance Management.
  • The hire will have autonomy over managing day-to-day reporting processes and KPI development in collaboration with other teams.
  • Key decisions having significant impact on the department are referred to Senior Director Strategy & Planning for approval before implementation.

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, data science, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, and data analytics skills.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a data-heavy role, preferably within corporate performance management, strategy, or business intelligence.
  • Experience in developing and managing KPIs, reports, and dashboards.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros).
  • Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and visual reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data engineering, data quality, and scenario analysis.
  • Expertise in developing and managing KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of data governance policies and access management.
  • Ability to translate data insights into visually engaging reports and presentations.
  • Project management skills for organizing reporting cadences and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data manipulation tools is a plus.
