Job description

Overview:
Core42 is the UAE's national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group's expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on our capabilities as a sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, we bring generative AI, cybersecurity professional, and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries. The incumbent of the role will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of all commercial and contractual aspects in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, applicable laws, and business requirements. They shall work closely with the business/client units and project teams and are expected to maintain a high level of visibility on the accounts/projects as they perform their contract management responsibilities. The commercial manager shall organize, control, and direct the work activities associated with the contract management process and take accountability for commercial and contractual outcomes, being a trusted partner to the business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for providing support on contractual matters related to Cloud Business with customers.
  2. Sees through the effective and timely resolution of various contractual disputes (related to payment & invoices, penalties, taxes, termination scenarios, commercial disputes, breach scenarios, etc.) through direct interactions with clients.
  3. Works closely with business development, legal, finance, and service teams to resolve various issues related to the contracts as soon as they arise.
  4. Identifies and highlights key delivery and commercial risks to avoid penalties during project implementation.
  5. Manages contractual risks during pre-sales and project implementation activities.
  6. Provides support to get contract signatures and pre-award sales activities.
  7. Escalates matters in a timely and controlled fashion and ensures affected parties are notified appropriately.
  8. Participates in/leads negotiations to achieve the best outcomes for G42 Cloud and clients.
  9. Implements contract management processes across the organization in line with G42 Cloud policies.
  10. Ensures all contract relevant policies and procedures are communicated to relevant personnel.
  11. Works with delivery and finance leads to identify and flex appropriate contract levers affecting revenue, cost, and profit.
  12. Participates in the Lead to Cash process and supports bid management, handing over, and contract execution processes/tasks.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Comply with applicable laws, regulations, international standards, and related G42 Policies and Procedures.
  2. Comply with G42 Acceptable Use Policy and attend mandatory trainings.
  3. Report incidents or suspect incidents through established channels.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of information as per G42 Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a commercial or contract manager with exposure to complex deals.
  3. Solid experience managing complex commercial issues and understanding main commercial principles.
  4. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external executives.
  5. Understanding of general commercial contracting regulations, principles, and subcontracting practices.
  6. Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  7. Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
  8. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
