Management Accountant – Oil & Gas

A leading Oil & Gas company is looking for a Management Accountant.

The Management Accountant helps a company evaluate business operating data, prepare financial statements, and ensure that internal controls, procedures, and mechanisms comply with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the preparation of all filings of F&A Reporting Section according to GAAP and IFRS bases of accounting, and company procedures.
2. Assist in the research and documentation of accounting issues as they arise.
3. Develop and leverage relationships with other departments within the company.
4. Fully responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, analysis, and interpretation of the company's financial performance.
5. Review financial statements for operating trends and results, researching variances to forecast and budget from the prior month and prior year.
6. Responsible for Management Reporting.
7. Identify and resolve issues impacting the ability to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
8. Ensure that balance sheets are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger.
9. Responsible for the preparation and coordination of the External Audit.
10. Must be able to travel to Iraq for business trips.

Language Requirements:
Arabic - Fluent / Excellent
English - Fluent / Excellent

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance and Accounting.
2. CPA certification is highly desired.
3. Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting, finance, and accounts payable.
4. Upstream Oil & Gas Industry Accounting background preferred.
5. Fluent in English and Arabic.
6. Microsoft Office Skills Required, experience with Sun Accounting System, SAP, or any other ERP.
7. Planning and organizing skills.

Salary: AED 26,000 to AED 30,000.
