Maintenance Technician

Pipeline Gurus is hiring on behalf of one of its partners — a market leader in the field of rock drilling and heavy equipment.

Our client is the exclusive UAE distributor of Furukawa Rock Drill (FRD), serving major quarry, mining, and construction companies across the region. With over 15 years of industry presence, they are known for delivering best-in-class equipment, genuine parts, and unmatched field support.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technical Manager with deep hands-on expertise in FRD machinery to join their growing team.

Requirements

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain the full range of Furukawa Rock Drill (FRD) equipment, including:
• Hydraulic Breakers (e.g. FXJ series)
• Hydraulic Crushers
• Hydraulic Crawler Drills (e.g. HCR series)
• Tunnel Drill Jumbos
• Drifters
• BTO (Built-To-Order) Machines
• Drilling Accessories (rods, bits, lubricants, etc.)
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown service on-site
• Lead technical inspections and failure analyses
• Coordinate with vendor's parts team to recommend correct replacements
• Provide technical training to junior mechanics and client-side operators
• Document repairs and diagnostics via service reports
• Liaise with Furukawa engineers when required for advanced repairs or factory settings

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Furukawa Rock Drill equipment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, drilling mechanisms, and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Willingness to travel to remote job sites and stay overnight if needed
• Valid UAE driver's license
