Job description

Support the continuous development and optimization of the EK Aircraft, Engine and Component Maintenance Program.

Review and issue amendments/revisions on a periodical basis to meet Airworthiness Authorities legal requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and company requirements. Assist in the setup of technical documents and Special Engineering Work Cards and Engineering Orders (EO) for all aircraft and component modifications.

Support the engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) induction process to ensure an engine or APU is fully compliant when returning from a workshop or overhaul input or when inducting a lease engine into the company.

Support the creation, revision, and administration of configuration models for all aircraft fleet types, engines, and landing gears. Incorporate new models and maintenance groupings as defined by the engineers into the Ultramain configuration modules accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure that any and all anomalies are escalated to the section supervisors or engineers for review and action.

Implement basic data control definition creation from the interpretation of Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual, EO/Service Bulletins, and other technical documents from Aircraft Maintenance Data to set up Part basic & Part relationship, Family update, and Kit Contents via IDC-Workflow (PBR/PRA). Ensure basic re-order model definition within Ultramain, considering the latest or preferred part numbers. Assist with the generation of reports from BO/Ultramain associated with Data control.

Conduct a review of the serviceable component receipts to ensure compliance with Workscope requirements, Maintenance Requirements, and any other special tasks requested and/or due.

Perform the necessary updates in Ultramain to record the work carried out as well as the modification standards of all component receipts.

Ensure the documentation review and release is carried out diligently and with strict adherence to procedures, SOPs, and Work Instructions. Action all workflows within the SLA and assign all reviews and escalations to the Officers and/or Engineers for validation and/or resolution where required.

To be considered for this Role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 12 Years schooling or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience in Engineering.
  • Experience in Maintenance Planning / Technical Records or other associated Technical Support Organisation. Job Holder must be fully conversant with Aircraft Documentation and Records including Aircraft Maintenance Manual, IPC, Work Packages, and Maintenance Schedules.
  • Understanding of Aircraft / Power Plant Systems and Components.
  • Sound knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
  • Knowledge & use of Airline / MRO Data Management & Digital Documentations Systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge & experience in the application & administration of Aircraft Regulatory & Legislation requirements associated with Airworthiness Compliance & Management.
