SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The position is based in Dubai and reports to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Lead and Develop the Team: Inspire and guide the Maintenance team to meet Jotun's current and future needs. Foster a culture of competence, engagement, and continuous improvement by developing and coaching team members, utilizing Leadership Expectations and tools.
Ensure Compliance and Quality: Lead the Maintenance function by implementing robust procedures to ensure all activities comply with local laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards, the Jotun Operations System, and HSEQ Management System.
Maintain HSE Critical Installations: Work closely with HSEQ and key stakeholders to ensure all HSE critical systems (e.g., Fire Fighting, Ventilation, Overflow Levels, Safety Valves, Emergency Equipment, etc.) are operating effectively and meeting safety standards at all times.
Continuous Improvement: Drive and follow up on continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging the Jotun Operations System, ensuring ongoing operational excellence.
Optimize Production Environment: Maintain an optimal production environment by implementing and sustaining proactive maintenance systems such as the Belt program and JOS assessments.
Minimize Downtime and Drive Performance: Regularly assess plant assets, systems, and critical equipment to minimize unplanned downtime, resolve issues efficiently, and identify improvement opportunities to boost performance.
Manage Service Contracts: Negotiate, review, and oversee service contracts and frame agreements with external service providers, ensuring effective partnerships and performance outcomes.
Contribute to Equipment Selection: Participate in the selection and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of new equipment, ensuring quality and operational fit.
