Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead and supervise a team in conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance.
2. Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
3. Act as the primary decision-maker for complex equipment breakdowns, diagnosing root causes and directing the team for swift and effective repairs.
4. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new equipment, ensuring adherence to technical standards and organizational goals.
5. Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, managing inquiries, procurement, and installation of new parts and equipment.
6. Monitor and evaluate equipment performance, guiding the team in fine-tuning operations to achieve optimal results.
7. Maintain and ensure the team maintains comprehensive and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, service reports, and logs.
8. Prepare and present detailed maintenance reports, providing insights on equipment performance, cost analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to maintenance and safety.
10. Review daily work orders, allocate tasks, and report progress and outcomes to the direct manager.
11. Mentor, train, and develop the maintenance team, fostering technical growth and ensuring high performance.
12. Lead the development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs, adapting strategies to meet organizational needs.
13. Support technical sales activities, leveraging expertise to generate new business opportunities, including selling spare parts, molds, or machines to clients.
14. Serve as the primary contact for customer escalations, providing high-level support and solutions.
15. Travel to client locations as needed for inspections, troubleshooting, and managing on-site operations.

Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering.
3. Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing maintenance teams effectively.
4. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
7. Familiarity with industry regulations and a strong commitment to safety standards.
