Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Tower, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facility's systems and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who can efficiently handle a wide range of maintenance tasks while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential maintenance issues proactively.
• Operate and maintain safety systems including fire alarms and emergency equipment.
• Read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, manuals, and specifications.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment status.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and local building codes and regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and new technologies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role with a minimum of one year of experience preferred.
• Proficiency in various building trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management.
• Familiarity with safety systems and fire alarm panels.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
• Proficiency in using computer systems including Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
• Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Valid UAE work visa or eligibility to obtain one.
• College degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical) are highly desirable.
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
