Maintenance Cleaner

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the general maintenance of the gardens, plants, and lawns at the Resort. Also maintain the beautification of the lawns and gardens to attract guests to the hotel's lush and green surroundings.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• 3 years of hotel engineering work experience.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Maintenance Cleaner Duties and Responsibilities:

Prerequisites:

• Soil cultivation, digging and forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation, and planting.
• The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery.
• The use of cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers.
• Adjustments of mower height and quality of cut.
• Oil level checks and checks for damage to any mower.
• Report equipment malfunctions to engineering as noticed.
• Be aware of Health and Safety requirements, noting that all duties must comply with current Health & Safety at Work legislation.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery is stored securely and cleaned after use.
• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
• Maintain gardens by naturally fertilizing, trimming, and ensuring that plants receive adequate irrigation water.
• Prune trees and hedges to promote plant health, safety, and aesthetics.
• Maintain lawn and grass areas using machinery and natural fertilizers, avoiding chemicals.
• Keep gardens, thoroughfares, and pathways clear and free from litter at all times.
• Ensure irrigation systems are in good working condition.
• Perform pruning and cutting of hedges.
• Conduct outside maintenance, including pathways, ponds, steps, and walls.
• Tidy up and clean the outside of the main building, SPA, and car parks.
• Keep the tool shed/store room clean and tidy.
• Possess good knowledge of plants, be organized, and able to follow a schedule.
• Ensure areas around villas, SPA building, main building, board room building, and pathways are clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure maintenance building area is clean and tidy at all times.
