Machinery Mechanic

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure they are functioning at optimal levels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
• Repair and replace defective parts using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure repairs have been successful and equipment is functioning properly.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to avoid future breakdowns and prolong the life of machinery.
• Act as a resource for fellow team members in regards to mechanical issues and repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime and on-call shifts as needed.
