Machine Technician (Powder coating)

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain powder coating machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Set up and calibrate equipment for specific coating applications, adhering to quality standards.
• Monitor the powder coating process, adjusting parameters to achieve desired finish and thickness.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to prevent malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize production interruptions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during the coating process.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and machine performance for quality assurance.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to address any defects and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and testing of new powder coating formulations and techniques.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machinery or coatings is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in powder coating or similar manufacturing roles.
• Familiarity with powder coating processes, equipment, and safety standards is essential.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems in industrial settings.
• Strong analytical skills to assess and optimize coating processes for quality output.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics related to machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous for multicultural teams.
