Roles and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for dynamic and self-motivated Food & Beverage professionals who want to move their careers forward.
As a Waiter / Waitress, you are responsible for providing professional service to our guests, ensuring their restaurant visit becomes a memorable dining experience. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Perform all necessary tasks to service food and beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the hotel.
  • Greet and seat customers, serving them in a professional, discreet, and personalized way.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage menu of the assigned outlet to assist and provide advice to guests.
  • Consistently monitor the quality of food & beverage being served.
  • Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints/queries satisfactorily.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep of all service equipment.
  • Responsible for all service preparations before, during, and after the service (mis-en-place and mis-en-scene).
  • Ensure minimum wastage, breakage, and spoilage.
  • Actively use upselling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should ideally have a diploma/degree in hospitality or vocational training in food & beverage with previous experience as a Waiter / Waitress in a high-volume restaurant. A good command of English and additional skills, like guest service and interpersonal skills, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and Seating Guests:
    • Welcoming guests with a friendly attitude as they arrive at the restaurant.
    • Escorting guests to their tables, presenting menus, and offering assistance with menu choices if necessary.
  • Taking Orders:
    • Listening carefully to customers’ orders and answering questions regarding the menu, ingredients, and food preparation.
    • Recommending food and drink items based on guests’ preferences or dietary restrictions.
  • Serving Food and Beverages:
    • Delivering food and drinks to the correct table in a timely manner.
    • Ensuring that all dishes are correctly presented, prepared to the customer’s liking, and served at the right temperature.
  • Ensuring Customer Satisfaction:
    • Checking in with guests during their meal to ensure they are satisfied with their food and service.
    • Addressing any complaints or concerns and resolving them promptly.
  • Handling Payments:
    • Presenting the bill to customers and processing payments, whether by cash, card, or other methods.
    • Giving correct change and handling tips appropriately.
  • Cleaning and Resetting Tables:
    • Clearing dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables after guests finish their meal.
    • Preparing tables for new guests, ensuring they are clean and properly set.
  • Collaborating with the Team:
    • Communicating with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation.
    • Working with other servers and staff to maintain a smooth and efficient service flow.
