Job description

The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the sales floor, and ensuring an overall positive shopping experience. This role involves a variety of duties including customer interaction, product promotion, stock management, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
  • Greet customers as they enter the store and offer assistance.
  • Understand customer needs and provide relevant product recommendations.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, card, and online orders.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Sales Support:
  • Actively promote and upsell products to meet sales targets and goals.
  • Help customers find products and suggest alternatives when necessary.
  • Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on current promotions, discounts, and new arrivals.
  • Stock Management:
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise on the sales floor.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform the management team of low stock or out-of-stock items.
  • Ensure all products are properly labeled and priced.
  • Store Maintenance:
  • Keep the sales floor clean, tidy, and organized, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment.
  • Assist with visual merchandising and product displays to attract customers.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are neat and products are returned to the shelves.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

What we want from you:

  • Previous retail experience, preferably in the luxury sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Arabic speaker is a plus.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to operate a point of sale (POS) system.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Sales-driven and motivated by meeting targets.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
