Minimum 2-3 years experience in oil and gas industry, preferred Gulf experiences.
Ability to work across engineering disciplines.
Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Good in English writing, reading and speaking.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Estimating costs for heavy industrial, oil and gas, pipeline and facility, and power generation construction projects.
Preparing professional proposals to be submitted to clients in response to Request for Budget Proposals.
Ability to perform construction take-offs, estimate man-hours for your discipline of expertise (Primarily Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation), schedule work using Excel, Primavera or other scheduling tools, solicit and evaluate Contractor quotes, and work closely with other seniors in their discipline field in compiling a complete project estimate.
Responsible for generating competitive target costs for new and existing Contracts.
Prepare cost estimates for material, machines, fabrication, inspection, coating, assembly, testing and related operation for new tendering Contracts.
Generate, maintain and update cost data.
Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by Senior Management.
Support the preparation of Cost Estimates on facilities modification project.
Preparation of the initial Contract Estimate as a basis for Cost Control.
Preparation of Authorized for Expenditure (AFE) along with the approved Budget Proposal (BP).
Prepare estimate for Management reviews and approvals.
Ensure that all classifications of estimates are developed where necessary, basic costs are defined and comply with specifications.
Future forecasts and trends can be developed in support of the Project Cost Engineering function.
Maintain and update estimating statistics, methods and data, providing a comprehensive and reliable source of information.
Understanding of the engineering workflow for a project, and manage priorities.
Comply with all applicable quality with environmental, health and safety regulations.
