Job description

The Logistics Transformation Manager is responsible for defining and implementing, together with key functional stakeholders, the roadmap to evolve Sephora’s logistics footprint in the Region in support of business growth. With a strong project management load, the role oversees the entire life cycle of the project, from definition to the post-implementation phase. In this role, the Logistics Transformation Manager is the gatekeeper of logistics best practices and processes across the Region. This includes (but is not limited to) preparation of tenders and SLAs with logistics service providers, omni-channel warehouse and distribution design, and 3PL management towards superior service at an optimized operating cost. He/she leads functionally indirect teams of key users, SMEs, and consultants and collaborates closely with external logistics service providers and internal Customer Service and Demand & Supply Planning teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design and deploy a roadmap to transform Sephora’s logistics footprint in the Region to support business growth.
  • Project Management for all logistics vendor and/or site transitions across the region.
  • Project governance and risk management for all transition projects.
  • Preparation of tender packages for LSP by defining scope, objectives & key requirements.
  • Collaborate & align with all regional and global stakeholders to ensure group standards & other functional requirements are met.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the warehouse location.
  • Negotiation and selection of the most suited logistics service providers.
  • Execution of tenders/transitions in a timely manner and within budgets.
  • Manage operational startup phase including training, stakeholder communication & performance monitoring.
  • Definition and continuous improvement of SLAs.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Degree holder in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, with strong Logistics Operations and 3PL management expertise.
  • Good understanding of the logistics landscape in the Middle East.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to balance priorities, is resilient, dynamic and results-driven.
  • Able to make decisions in a complex and volatile environment.
