To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor, to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the overall, daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager as required.
- Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station.
- Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure that every shipment meets and exceeds operational KPIs.
- Monitor coordinator and associate performance, provide coaching, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
- Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and enhance quality.
- Interview candidates for associate roles.
- Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring administrative tasks are accurately completed.
- Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending, and reporting on site performance.
- Help with training and mentoring new Associates, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to succeed.
- Follow up on and resolve any process-related issues as required, including physical activities such as pushing carts with up to 100 pounds and lifting packages up to 15 kg.
- Be flexible to work in different shifts and do overtime when needed.
- Resource your function from a personal standpoint, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching, and monitoring department productivity.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Experience in logistics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
