The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the effective and timely implementation of all logistics-related operational goals, including purchasing, shipping, and inventory management. This role requires a thorough understanding of logistics processes to ensure that the right products are delivered to the correct location on time and at a low cost. The Logistics Supervisor will coordinate the entire supply chain and liaise with manufacturers, freight forwarders, and consumers.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor daily procurement operations to ensure all tasks align with supply chain SOPs and KPIs.
Contribute to achieving the strategic goals and objectives of the supply chain.
Update shipping rates biannually, every six months.
Ensure that procurement reports are current and shared with the Supply Chain Manager on a daily basis.
Follow up and assess subordinate performance to recommend training, process updates, and knowledge enhancements to meet KPIs and objectives.
Coordinate with other departments involved in supply chain operations to ensure smooth daily operations.
Foster a high level of cooperation among team members and across territories to ensure efficient operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
8+ years of direct experience in procurement, logistics, freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
Familiarity with MOH regulations; prior experience dealing with MOH is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills in verbal and written communication, customer focus, professionalism, negotiation, and team building.
Thorough knowledge of IT systems, as technology plays a crucial role in logistics. Proficiency in electronic communication methods is essential for tracking stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and performance evaluation.
