Logistics Operations Specialist

Position Overview:

The Logistics Specialist for GCC Operation (UAE) will oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, and the homologation process. The candidate will ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods while maintaining compliance with regional regulations and optimizing operational costs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:

• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments in GCC country (UAE) to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage daily logistics operations, including transportation, and order fulfilment.
• Optimize freight routes and transportation methods to reduce lead times and costs.

2. Customs Clearance and Compliance:

• Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate customs documentation for imports and exports.
• Ensure compliance with GCC customs regulations, tariffs, and trade requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison with customs officials to expedite clearance and resolve disputes.

3. Freight Forwarding:

• Collaborate with global and regional freight forwarders to secure cost-effective shipping solutions.
• Track and monitor cargo movements to ensure service quality and mitigate delays.

4. Homologation Process:

• Manage homologation activities for vehicle imports, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with government authorities and third-party agencies for certification approvals.
• Keep abreast of homologation changes in the GCC region to ensure operational readiness.

5. Process Optimization and Cost Control:

• Analyze and enhance existing supply chain processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with logistics partners to ensure service excellence.

6. Reporting and Performance Analytics:

• Generate detailed reports on delivery timelines, cost analysis, and key performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and compliance documentation.

Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics, customs clearance, and supply chain operations within the GCC region.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GCC customs regulations, homologation processes, and international freight forwarding.
• Proficiency in supply chain management systems and ERP platforms.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
