Job Description
We are currently looking for a Logistics Manager for our organization (Automotive Industry) to manage customs and ocean freight pricing. As a Logistics Manager, you will oversee the entire operational and financial performance of the logistics department. You will manage ocean freight procurement and effectively manage customs clearance. Purchase cross-border and local shipments from local suppliers. You will also manage the in-house fleet.
Responsibilities:
Manage logistics affairs and supervise logistics teams (warehouse managers, logistics agents).
Maintain relationships with service providers (freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking) and carriers (air and sea freight).
Apply for duty-free and dangerous goods permits in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Manage Temporary Import Tariff Refunds for all export transactions that meet logistics audit and compliance standards.
Ensure compliance with the company's trade compliance policy.
Manage and coordinate maritime cargo exports and negotiate contracts and rates with shipping companies.
Handle documents such as bills of lading and export licenses. Track and monitor goods to ensure timely delivery. Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation.
Coordinate the export of goods by sea, including booking space with shipping companies, arranging for cargo pickup and delivery, and preparing and submitting all required documents.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Rich experience in logistics management, preferably in the automotive import and export industry.
In-depth knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding (ocean freight) at a senior or supervisory level.
