Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to manage and oversee the smooth handling of container loading, freight, transportation, and customs clearance processes. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in logistics, strong negotiation skills, and a background in the chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shipping and Freight Management:
   
   • Coordinate and manage shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
   • Handle container loading processes, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
   • Negotiate effectively with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport service providers to secure the best rates and terms.
2. Transportation Coordination:
   
   • Oversee the arrangement and monitoring of transportation for goods.
   • Ensure seamless coordination between shipping companies, transporters, and warehouse teams.
3. Customs Clearance:
   
   • Manage all documentation and processes required for customs clearance.
   • Liaise with customs authorities to resolve any issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Inventory and Documentation:
   
   • Maintain accurate records of shipments, transportation, and customs-related documentation.
   • Work closely with inventory teams to manage logistics workflows.
5. Compliance and Regulations:
   
   • Ensure adherence to local and international shipping regulations and guidelines.
   • Stay updated on customs regulations, freight trends, and transportation best practices.
6. Cost Optimization and Reporting:
   
   • Monitor and control logistics costs to optimize the overall supply chain budget.
   • Prepare and present reports on shipping and logistics operations, including cost analysis and efficiency metrics.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

• Graduate in Logistics, Freight Management, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in logistics, with a focus on shipping, freight, and transport.
• Preferred experience in the chemical industry or related sectors.
• Hands-on experience with customs clearance processes and documentation.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost optimization in shipping and transport.
• Knowledge of container loading practices and industry standards.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
